Peter Ellenshaw traveled often to the Hawaiian Islands. His favorite island was the aptly named "Garden Isle" of Kauai. Here he would venture out daily to photograph and sketch much of this island paradise usually ending up at the northern part of the island at the Na Pali Coast. As the road ended making the spectacular coast inaccessible by car, Peter would often take a picnic and begin a walk along the water's edge enjoying the grandeur of the 1,000 foot cliffs. This serigraph from one of Peter's paintings brilliantly captures the clear water, the sparkling sand and the distinctive and elegant coastline. |
